We are working with our site manager to make some changes to our site and allow us to send you our new newsletter written by Dave Cook. Please be patient while we make these changes. Also, we are excited to announce NCEM will once again fund training in Eastern North Carolina early this Fall and the DuPont Rescue Experience dupontrescue.com, November 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Our relationship with North Carolina Emergency Management is very importatnt to the success of our educational programs and we thank them for their commitment to North Carolina's search community.
Dear Friends, We had a very exciting year in 2011 helping to host the spring exercise in Burke County, SAR Trek in Williamston, North Carolina and the DuPont Rescue Experience in Henderson and Transylvania County. We honored Randy McKinney with the Dave Carter award, for his outstanding leadership in the area of search and rescue for the citizens of North Carolina. We also worked closely with North Carolina Emergency Management and the North Carolina Office of the State Fire Marshall to help usher in the new Technical Rescuer Wilderness program. As we look to 2012 we will once again work hard to foster relationships within the SAR community and look for opportunities to support local efforts of emergency services to provide education and training.
Sincerely, Wike Graham President, NCSARAC
